Day 01: Arrival in Paro. From the aiport, there will be 2 hours drive to Thimpu, the capital city of Butan.
Dinner and Overnight at Hotel in Thimpu
Day 02: Thimpu
A full day sightseeing in Thimpu valley. The visits includes: National Library, a book house with the collection of Buddhist texts and manuscripts dating back several hundred years.
Institute for Zorig Chusum where the rich medicinal herbs of the kingdom are compounded and dispensed.
National Memorial Chorten a monument of world peace and prosperity. The paintings and statues inside the monument provide a deep insight into Buddhist philosophy.
Tashichhodzong the secretariat building which houses the throne of the king.
Folk Heritage and National Textile Museums which opened in 2001 provides fascinating insights into Bhutanese material culture and way of life.
Handicrafts Emporium a government run enterprise which displays a wide range of beautifully hand-woven textiles and craft products.

Day 03: Thimpu-Tongsa
After early breakfast, we drive up to Dochu-la pass (3,088m) with brief stopover to view the chortens, mani wall, prayer flags which decorate the highest point on the road. On a clear day, glorious Himalayan ranges can also be viewed.
Then we continue the drive reaching Wangduephodrang down in time for lunch. From there, we cross Pele-la pass (3,300m) and get to Tongsa. There is also an abrupt change in vegetation with mountain forest replaced by hight altitude dwarf bamboo.
We stop en route at Chendebji Chorten, patterned on Kathmandu's Swayambhunath Stupa, with eyes painted on the four cardinal points. The chorten was built in the 18th century by Lama Shida from Tibet, to cover the remains of an evil spirit that was subdued at this spot.
Overnight at hotel in Tongsa.
Day 04: Tongsa- Bumthang
After early breakfast, we walk to Tongsa Dzong(monastery) and climb up to a steep path to visit the Ta Dzong (watchtower) dedicated to the epic hero, King Gesar of Ling.
After the sightseeing, we drive to Bumthang which lies 68 km from Tongsa. The road winds steeply up to the Yutong-la pass(3400m) from Tongsa and then runs down through coniferous forest into a wide, open, cultivated valley known as Chumey valley.
On arrival in Bumthang, check in the lodge. After lunch, we visit Kurje Lhakhang (where the saint's body is imprinted on a rock), Jambey Lhakhang (7th century), Tamshing Monastery and Jakar Dzong (administrative center of the region).
Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 05: Punakha- Paro
Early morning we go to visit Punakha Dzong. Punakha was Butan's capital until 1955. Bhutan's first king, Ugyen Wangchuk was crowned here in 1907.
Afternoon, we proceed to Paro, en route visiting traditional Bhutanese farms to gain insight into the lifestyle and culture of the local people.
On arrival in Paro, check into the hotel.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 06: Paro
Today, we have a full day sightseeing in Paro valley.
Ta Dzong, which used to serve as watchtower for Paro Dzong in olden days now houses the National Museum.
After lunch, we drive up the valley to Durkgyel Dzong, built in 1647 by the Shabdrung to commemorate the Bhutanese victory over the Tibetans. En route, we also visit Kyichu Lhakhang, built in the 7th century by the Tibetan King, Songtsen Gampo.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Paro.
Day 07: After breakfast, departure to airport for onward destination.
